Thought of the day: Haste and failure

By Eddy Montilla.

INDECISION

You have probably heard that desperation is the origin of failure. This is partially right. In math, the number two exists because there is a number one. Well, desperation is the number two. And number one? It is called haste.

A person had to pay the rent of his house and a car he bought on hire purchase by tomorrow morning or… (you know already what will happen to him.). He did something illegal to get the money. In cases like this one, people usually say that he did that in his desperation, but if you analyze carefully his situation, you will notice that the real reason was not that, but the rush to get the money. If he had had one or two months to pay, he would not have done something illegal. Stay away from haste and you will stay away from failure.
