“A lapsus is an involuntary mistake made while writing or speaking”, a teacher explained to his students in his psychology class.
“Teacher, what happened to your right eye?” A student asked.
Good question, Rodney. This is a perfect example of what a lapsus means. Yesterday, I confused the word reign with ruin. After dinner, I wanted to tell my wife: “Dinner was excellent, dear. You are the reigning champion of my life!”, but I said instead: “You and your fat and lazy mother have ruined my life!”
